The A.I.M.-sponsored "Art Camp" invites teachers and children in the school district of Menomonie to explore different artistic avenues from visual arts to theater arts.
Painting large canvases in one of the camp's classes, students communicated messages about empathy and positive attitude. The large canvases will be hung in the school buildings for the entire school year for everyone to see.
“Through art, people understand the importance of sharing a message," and that "that message could change somebody’s day or change somebody’s attitude about life." says Tami Weiss, AI.M. executive director and a teaching artist for the Art Camp. “We can create art that is good, and we can also make art that does good!”
